These terms apply when you access or play WERD at werd.gg.
Using WERD
WERD is a free entertainment and vocabulary game operated by mini tech co. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these terms and applicable law.
Game rules and results
Daily gameplay, timing, hints, statistics, streaks, rankings, and archive availability may change as we improve the game. Leaderboards are provided for fun and do not carry prizes or monetary value. We may correct, remove, or disregard results affected by errors, manipulation, automation, or abuse.
Display names and conduct
You are responsible for the display name you choose. Display names must not impersonate others, contain unlawful or abusive content, disclose another person’s information, advertise services, or interfere with other players. We may remove names, hide results, restrict access, or flag accounts when reasonably necessary.
Puzzle content
We aim to provide accurate definitions and fair hints, but puzzle content may contain mistakes, ambiguities, or words with multiple accepted meanings. WERD is for entertainment and informal learning and should not be relied upon as professional, academic, or linguistic advice.
Intellectual property
WERD’s branding, design, software, original copy, puzzle presentation, and other service materials belong to mini tech co. or its licensors. Dictionary words themselves are not claimed as proprietary. You may share the result text generated by the game, but may not copy, resell, scrape, automate, or reproduce the service or puzzle catalogue without permission.
Availability and third-party services
The service is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent preservation of streaks or results, or compatibility with every browser or device. WERD relies on third-party infrastructure, and their outages or changes may affect the game.
Limitation of responsibility
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WERD and mini tech co. are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes and termination
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of WERD and may update these terms. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply. You may stop using WERD at any time and clear its local data through your browser.
